Emotional Intelligence

If I'm So Smart, Why Am I Making the Wrong Decisions?
Understanding and Maximizing Emotional Intelligence

Why does one leader excel up while another stumbles? Understanding the difference between an outstanding leader and a typical leader serves as the underpinning of the theory of emotional intelligence, popularized by Daniel Goleman in his breakthrough 1995 book Emotional Intelligence. This approach to measuring the abilities and achievements of leaders is rapidly becoming the cornerstone of leadership development.

This program examines the theoretical underpinnings of emotional intelligence and describes competencies attached to this performance-based theory of leadership development. The goal of the program is to raise participants' skills in tapping their own emotional intelligence to enhance decision-making and relationship building. PACT's practical exercises help participants build the cornerstones of emotional intelligence: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship building, in a safe and supportive learning environment.
